Circulate is an online location for news and insight on the circular economy and related subjects, curated by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.
Established in 2015, the aim of Circulate is to provide the latest thinking on the circular economy, from a range of perspectives from thought leaders and practitioners around the world.
Content on Circulate is split across three distinct areas, designed to enable you to keep up to date in different ways. First and foremost are Featured articles, released every fortnight. These longer insight-led articles will have a more distinct journalistic focus, provided by a range of writers. As well as contributions from the Ellen MacArthur Foundation team, there will also be voices from professional journalists, industry practitioners and experts from academia, among others. We hope you enjoy reading and sharing these articles, and using them as a stimulus for discussion. When we see a relevant news story that we feel warrants some contextualisation, we’ll offer this in the News section of the website. In this section, you’ll find a daily updated collection of news from many different industries and subjects, accompanied by comment from the Circulate editorial team. We’ll attempt to outline why developments in technology, policy, business or education support (or hinder) the transition to a circular economy. Finally, we’ll update the What We’re Reading section every day with the latest quick links recommended by our team – we’ll always looking out for links that contribute to a fair and varied discussion on the transition to a circular economy.
In the International section of the website, you’ll find content that seeks to explain how the circular economy is developing at a specific national or regional scale, in English, French and Portuguese.
